FAQ

Most sites have a FAQ page (Frequently Asked Questions), but our site is too young to have received that many questions at all.  We’ll try to answer some questions you might ask.

Q:  Why a site solely for modern home design and decor enthusiasts?

A: There are some great sites on modern home design.  They have great photos.  They’re fun to scan for a while, but where is the interaction?  What if I want some suggestions on kitchen design…who can I ask?  Where can I ask?  We want to make this an online community for you.   A place where you can interact with people like yourself and find the info you need to Make It Mod!

Q: I see you have a page called “The Lounge”.  What’s that?

A: The Lounge is your online chat room.  There are a variety of categories that you can read or ask questions, provide answers and just comment.  It’s a way for our members to interact and help each other. Whether you want to ask for opinions on cabinets or find out if there are modern homes in Dallas, The Lounge is the place to visit.

Q: I see you have a Marketplace page.  Are you selling something?

A: Along with The Lounge where members interested in modern homes can interact, we have a Marketplace where members can post ads.  For an individual or business to post a 21-day ad, there is no charge–zip, nada, nuttin’.  You might have a modern chair that you’d like to sell–post an ad!  You might need an interior decorator that is focused on modern design–post an ad!  For businesses, we have several low, low, low cost options to advertise their products and services in greater detail than the free ad provides.  And if you have a modern space for sale, lease or short-term rental, we’ve got that option covered, too.  We have options to fit every budget.

Q: What is the Spaces page?

A: if you have a modern space for sale, lease or short-term rental that you really want to show off, our Spaces page is the place for you!  Spaces is the place to showcase your modern property.

Q:  How can I help?

A: Glad you asked!  There are many ways.  First, interacting in the forum is really helpful.  The more visitors we have there, the better it is for everyone.  Second, letting your friends and associates know about us via Facebook, Twitter, email, carrier pigeon, etc is a big help.  Third, if you have an interest in writing blog posts or administering a section of the forum, we want to hear from you.  Just send an email to info[at]makeitmod[dot]com and we’ll get in touch right away.
