I’m Roy Gatling, the founder of Make It Mod!

I’m the son of a home builder, and years ago I decided to make a career in high tech, but my love of architecture, especially modern, has never waned. I love modern. My wife loves modern. You love modern. We all love modern!

I’ve developed several other websites over the years, with www.austin-artists.com and www.austin-architecture.com being two recent projects.  The architecture site was just sold to AIA Austin in 2011.

There is no shortage of great websites that focus on homes and design.  I subscribe to several, and I’m guessing that you do, too.  I think there’s room for one more, especially one focused solely on modern design.

My intent is to develop an online community that’s made up of modern design enthusiasts.  People just like you.  I want to work with people across the world, maybe even you, to bring interesting stories and photos on modern living.

Will you join me? I hope so!  It’ll be more fun if we do this together
